How this works: the verifier fetches the BSV transaction from a public WhatsOnChain node, parses the OP_RETURN payload, and verifies the embedded settlor signature (ECDSA over canonical-JSON SHA-256) against the settlor’s public key. No database lookup, no bit-sign trust required.
